On April 10, 2018, a tragic incident occurred in Bullhead City, Arizona, resulting in the death of 29-year-old Jonnie Paul Evans Jr. The incident began with a call to the police reporting domestic violence and shots fired at a residence.

Upon arrival, officers found that a physical altercation had taken place between Jonnie Evans Jr. and his father, 48-year-old Jonnie Paul Evans Sr. The altercation escalated to the point where the younger Evans was fatally shot by his father.
