In the spring of 1986, the life of Sally Heet, a 35-year-old female, was brutally cut short in her Washington, D.C. apartment. A native of Indiana and a competent and independent woman, she had built a successful career, serving as the press secretary for U.S. Senator Daniel J. Evans.
