In the late summer of 1992, the life of a young man, Marcus Lee Smith, was tragically cut short in Washington, D.C. At the age of 20, he was discovered unconscious in a wooded area near the intersection of 27th Street and Texas Avenue SE on the evening of Friday, August 14th. He had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body.
