In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Tucson, Arizona, the life of 52-year-old Mark Edward Doe was tragically cut short. On April 25, 2021, Doe, a male with a charismatic personality, found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time in a downtown parking garage on Congress Street. It was there that he witnessed two young men attempting to rob several people before carjacking a white Nissan pickup truck. In a selfless act of courage, he attempted to intervene and stop the perpetrators.
