On April 25, 2021, Mark Edward Doe, a 52-year-old man from Tucson, Arizona, was fatally shot while attempting to stop a robbery in a downtown parking garage located at 345 E. Congress St. The incident occurred just after 2:00 a.m. when two unknown males, later identified as Luis Alberto Garcia and Alexis Enrique Diaz, approached and attempted to rob multiple victims in the garage.
