In the quiet community of Dolan Springs, Arizona, a tragedy unfolded on the night of November 30, 2022. Authorities responded to a call regarding a gunshot in the 15000 block of N. Holly Drive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered several individuals attempting to render first aid to a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts and the arrival of medical personnel, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The victim was identified as David Charles Farris, a
44-year-old male from the nearby community of White Hills. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office launched a homicide investigation into the fatal shooting. The investigation led them to identify a suspect in the case.
A week later, on December 7, 2022, an arrest was made in connection with Farris's death. Felipe Santaolalla, 46, was taken into custody in Las Vegas, Nevada, by the Metropolitan Police Department. Santaolalla was booked as a fugitive from another state and was identified as an acquaintance of the victim. While an arrest has been made, a motive for the shooting has not been publicly released by the sheriff's office.
