In the spring of 2023, the life of 22-year-old Mercedes Vega was brutally cut short in a series of horrific events that began in Tempe, Arizona. On the evening of April 16th, Vega was last seen on surveillance footage in the parking garage of her apartment building. Her family later reported finding blood in her designated parking spot. Vega, who was of Caucasian and Puerto Rican descent, had plans to meet friends that evening but never arrived.
