Mercedes Vega, a 22-year-old exotic dancer and aspiring personal trainer from Tempe, Arizona, was found dead in a burning car on April 17, 2023, along a highway in Tonopah, Arizona. Her body was discovered in the backseat of a vehicle that was on fire on the side of Interstate 10. The medical examiner's report indicated that Vega suffered from blunt force trauma, a gunshot wound to her right arm, and had bleach in her throat.
