Benjamin Pilgrim, a 51-year-old resident of Yuma, Arizona, lost his life to gun violence on June 11, 2023. The incident occurred on a Sunday morning when he was shot multiple times, resulting in fatal injuries.

The police investigated the homicide, and subsequent legal proceedings led to the identification and sentencing of the perpetrator. Nicholas Austin Berry, a 28-year-old man, was found guilty of Pilgrim's murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison on April 22, 2024.
