In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 21-year-old John Santillan Purper was tragically cut short. On July 28, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Purper was standing on the sidewalk outside a residence at 1033 North Patricio Street when a vehicle approached. Several gunshots were fired from a red Dodge Ram pick-up truck that was traveling north on North Patricio Street, striking Purper.
