On a tragic day in early autumn, the life of 33-year-old Asian female Mei Huang was cut short. On September 6, 2017, in the parking lot of the Law Enforcement Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska, a place meant to represent safety and justice, Huang was shot by her husband. She was rushed to a hospital in nearby Sioux City, but succumbed to her injuries hours later.
