In Lincoln, Nebraska, on the evening of Wednesday, November 11, 2020, a young life was tragically cut short. Ivan Messersmith, a 21-year-old White male, died from an accidental gunshot wound inside his apartment. His girlfriend discovered him unconscious and not breathing, having sustained a gunshot wound to his head.
