Murdered

James Shekie, a 33-year-old resident of Lincoln, Nebraska, tragically lost his life to gun violence on March 1, 2021. The Lincoln Police Department responded to a call for service around 11:09 a.m. to check an open door in the 4200 block of North 20th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Shekie deceased inside the residence due to a gunshot wound. The case, initially classified as a "suspicious death," was later ruled a homicide following further investigation.
