On April 15, 2003, at approximately 1:00 a.m., LaVon Bell was shot multiple times while in the 700 block of Yuma Street, Southeast Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene, but despite ongoing efforts to gather information, the case remains unsolved. Bell was found at the location, having sustained severe injuries from gunshot wounds, and investigators have since sought to identify those responsible for his death.
