Hayes Morgheim, a 23-year-old from Grand Island, Nebraska, tragically lost his life on June 4, 2023, in a double-murder suicide. He was shot by Rex Goodell, a 26-year-old man from Lincoln, Nebraska, who also killed his wife, Emily Goodell, before turning the gun on himself. The incident occurred early Sunday morning at the Morgheim family residence on Arizona Avenue in northwest Grand Island.
