On May 19, 2014, in Selbyville, Delaware, 53-year-old Robin Watkins was found deceased alongside her husband, 63-year-old Edward Watkins Sr., in the parking lot of the Bayview Estates community clubhouse. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations revealed that the couple had arrived separately the previous evening, where Edward Watkins shot his wife twice before turning the gun on himself. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
