On April 22, 2016, at approximately 3:42 a.m., 28-year-old Joshua N. James was fatally shot during a home invasion at his residence in the 500 block of Dogtown Road, Townsend, Delaware. Two armed intruders entered the home, confronting James and another male occupant. A physical altercation ensued, during which James was shot. Emergency medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but James was pronounced dead at the scene. The second occupant sustained minor injuries.
