The discovery of John W. Groff's body occurred around 1:10 a.m. on April 24, 2020, when a passerby noticed him lying in the roadway on Killens Pond Road, between Sandbox Road and Bloomfield Road, in Harrington, Delaware. The individual immediately contacted authorities, and Delaware State Troopers were dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, they found the 40-year-old unresponsive.
