John W. Groff, a 40-year-old White male from Harrington, Delaware, was discovered in the early-morning dark of April 24, 2020, lying in the roadway along Killens Pond Road between Sandbox Road and Bloomfield Road. A passerby spotted him at approximately 1:10 a.m. and called for help; troopers arrived to find the 40-year-old unresponsive and arranged transport to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
