The tragic death of 13-year-old Jeremiah Quamir Redding on April 28, 2020, sent shockwaves through the Wilmington, Delaware community. Jeremiah, a young teenager with his whole life ahead of him, was fatally shot in the 100 block of Ashton Place in the city's East Side. Police responded to the scene to find Jeremiah suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, but despite the efforts of medical professionals, he could not be saved.
