On December 7, 1998, in Caribou, Maine, 30-year-old Tina Marie Saunders Cousins was tragically shot and killed by her husband, Leigh Anthony Cousins, in a domestic violence incident. This devastating event also claimed the lives of their two young children: 4-year-old Cortina and 2-year-old Cody. After committing these murders, Leigh Cousins took his own life, resulting in a triple murder-suicide that deeply affected the local community.
