On July 25, 2008, 43-year-old Todd Smith of Paris, Maine, was found shot to death inside the West Paris home of his friend, 50-year-old Timothy Mayberry, who was also killed in the incident. The discovery was made when Mayberry's body was found outside his residence, leading authorities to a trail of blood that ended inside, where Smith's body was located.
