On April 24, 2015, a fire erupted at Pinkham's Auto Repair and Tires in Waldoboro, Maine. After extinguishing the blaze, authorities discovered the body of 53-year-old Jeffrey W. Pinkham, the owner of the establishment, in the basement. The Maine Fire Marshal's Office later determined that Pinkham died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and had intentionally set the fire before taking his own life.
