On June 1, 2016, Michael Reis, a 24-year-old resident of New Sharon, Maine, was fatally shot outside a mobile home on Weld Road in Wilton. The incident occurred around 1 a.m., and Reis was pronounced dead at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington shortly thereafter.
