On January 19, 2019, the body of 69-year-old Carlos Ordonez was discovered along the banks of the Fore River in South Portland, Maine. Ordonez had been reported missing earlier that week, with a Silver Alert issued by South Portland police on Friday night. He was last seen on Tuesday in the Old English Village area of South Portland. A man walking his dog in the woods near the river found Ordonez's body. Authorities determined that Ordonez died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
