On a tragic spring day, May 11, 2019, in Lebanon, Maine, the life of 30-year-old Allyson Michele Parker, a White female, was cut short. A loving mother to her young daughter, Allyson was in the process of moving on from a recently ended three-year relationship with her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Thomas Doyon. She had gone to the home she had once shared with him on Bigelow Road, which was owned by her parents, to gather her personal belongings.
She was accompanied by a friend and her parents were also present in the house at the time.
The situation took a devastating turn when an argument erupted between Allyson and Doyon in an upstairs bedroom. A neighbor later recounted hearing the sounds of a heated dispute just moments before the fatal shots were fired. Allyson's parents and her friend, who were downstairs, heard the gunshots and immediately fled the home to call for help. The authorities, including the Maine State Police tactical team, responded to the scene, and after a standoff with no contact from inside, they entered the residence.
Inside, they discovered the bodies of both Allyson Parker and Thomas Doyon. The investigation concluded that Doyon had shot and killed Allyson before turning the gun on himself in a murder-suicide. While neighbors had reportedly heard the couple argue in the past, law enforcement officials stated that there had been no prior reports of domestic violence. Allyson's seven-year-old daughter was not at the home at the time of the incident. In the wake of this tragedy, there were no arrests as the sole suspect was also deceased.
