On November 2, 2020, Richmond police conducted a welfare check at an apartment on Main Street in Richmond, Maine, after concerns arose about the residents' well-being. Unable to make contact with anyone inside, they requested assistance from the Maine State Police. Upon entry, authorities discovered the bodies of Dana Shulman, 49, and his partner, Robin Bowler, 47, both residents of the apartment.
