On May 13, 2023, in Berwick, Maine, 41-year-old Edward Badeau was fatally shot during an altercation at the residence of 25-year-old homeowner Christopher Utt. The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on School Street when Badeau arrived at Utt's home, discharged a handgun into the air multiple times upon exiting his vehicle, and forcibly entered the house.
