On July 31, 1990, in Billings, Montana, 47-year-old Catharine Newstrom and her employer, 60-year-old Charles Sparboe, were found shot in the head inside the Treasure State Silver & Gold coin shop. Approximately $54,000 worth of coins and gold were stolen during the incident.
