On a spring morning in Butte, Montana, the school day at Margaret Leary Elementary was shattered by an act of violence that would forever mark the community. It was April 12, 1994, when 11-year-old Jeremy Michael Bullock, a male student, was waiting in line with his classmates. In a tragic turn of events, another student, a 10-year-old boy, opened fire on the playground. Jeremy was not the intended victim of the shooting but was tragically caught in the crossfire and fatally wounded.
