On a crisp autumn day in the wilds of southwestern Montana, a hunting trip turned to tragedy for Michael Kevin Drexler, a 50-year-old White male from Billings. It was November 2, 2018, and Drexler was with a small group, stalking elk in the national forest land south of Virginia City. The beauty of the landscape was shattered when a rifle belonging to one of his hunting partners accidentally discharged.
