In the early morning hours of April 6, 2019, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of 24-year-old Shane Nez Perce, a Native American man from Billings, Montana. The fatal encounter unfolded outside of Lee's Saloon in Billings, where Nez Perce was shot and killed. He was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and tragic loss of a young life.
