Matthew Robert Long, a 35-year-old man from Corvallis, Montana, tragically lost his life on May 5, 2021. His death was the result of a fatal collision with a vehicle driven by a woman under the influence of alcohol.

The accident occurred on Highway 93 north of Darby. The driver of the other vehicle, a 24-year-old woman, crossed the center line and collided head-on with Long's vehicle. She was subsequently arrested and charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence.
