On March 5, 2019, in Meridian, Idaho, 41-year-old Christine Tolmie-Steiner was murdered by her husband, Eric Steiner. The incident began when Eric struck Christine in the face with a crowbar, followed by shooting her in the head. After the attack, he concealed her body in the bathroom of their home on Chateau Drive.
