On a Sunday evening in the small town of Midvale, Idaho, a confrontation between two men who were once friends ended in tragedy. Matthew Banning, a 43-year-old Caucasian male, was shot and killed on April 11, 2021. The incident occurred on South School Road, where Banning was found deceased by emergency crews who responded to a neighbor's call to dispatch at 7:22 p.m.
