On a spring afternoon in Newport, New Hampshire, the quiet of a Maple Street home was shattered by a 911 call reporting a shooting. Responding officers arrived at the residence on May 7, 2019, to a tragic scene. Inside, they discovered the body of 75-year-old Margaret "Peggy" Clarke, a long-time resident of the home she shared with her husband. An autopsy would later confirm that the female victim had died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and authorities officially ruled her death a homicide. ...
