On the night of September 16, 2024, a sequence of events that began as an apparent road rage incident in Littleton, New Hampshire, ended in the death of 38-year-old Eric Rexford, a White male resident of the town. The altercation concluded with Rexford succumbing to multiple gunshot wounds.
The situation unfolded late in the evening when a man placed a 911 call, reporting that another vehicle was chasing him and had repeatedly struck his car.
A short time later, gunshots were heard, and responding officers found two crashed cars in the vicinity of 33 Pleasant Street. The 911 caller was at the scene and identified the injured man, Eric Rexford, as the person who had been pursuing him. Rexford was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy later confirmed that the cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
