On January 19, 2006, Ronald Washington, age 40, was shot in front of 1420 Saratoga Avenue, NE, Washington, D.C., at approximately 10:50 PM. He succumbed to his injuries the following day, on January 20, 2006. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and launched an investigation into the incident, which remains unsolved to this day.
