In the late hours of Sunday, May 16, 2021, the life of 19-year-old Tatyana Francois, a Black / African American female from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, was tragically cut short. At approximately 11:30 p.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the night on Central Avenue, prompting calls to the Pawtucket Police Department. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a grim scene; Francois was suffering from gunshot wounds.
