On February 1, 1947, 17-year-old Rita Bouchard was found brutally murdered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. She had been stabbed over 30 times and her body was discovered in a wooded area known as “Lovers Lane” near the Ten Mile River. Rita, a mill worker, had been fearful of unknown men following her in the weeks leading up to her death.
