On the evening of June 15, 2021, West Warwick police responded to a reported shooting at a residence on River Farms Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 74-year-old Marcia Hughes deceased from gunshot wounds. Her husband, Martin Hughes, also 74, was found at the scene with gunshot injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
