On August 26, 2017, in Powell, Wyoming, 65-year-old Shirley Williamson was fatally shot by her husband, David Williamson. Shirley, who was blind and suffered from severe paranoia, had been experiencing deteriorating mental health, including hearing voices and exhibiting signs of severe paranoia.
