In what police have described as a tragic case of domestic violence, 53-year-old Jennifer Jean Harrison, a White female, died on October 26, 2022, after being shot by her son in their Grand Forks, North Dakota, home. The incident unfolded on the 300 block of Wren Drive, where both she and her son resided.
Authorities were called to the residence following reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Jennifer Harrison inside the home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to her head and torso. She was immediately transported to Altru Hospital for medical attention. Outside the home, in the driveway, police found her 21-year-old son, Tyler Harrison, deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Jennifer Harrison succumbed to her injuries several days after the shooting. The investigation into the incident concluded that Tyler Harrison was the sole person of interest, and with his death, no arrests were made. Police have assured the public that there is no ongoing danger related to this case, which they have classified as a murder-suicide.
