The quiet of the Fern Acres subdivision in Mountain View, Hawaii was shattered in the early morning hours of March 18, 2019. Police responded to a call just after midnight to find Joshua John Santos, a 38-year-old Pahoa resident, lying unresponsive in the driveway of a home on Plumeria Street. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. Despite the efforts of first responders, Santos was pronounced dead at the scene.
