Imelda Villaspir, a dedicated caregiver originally from the Philippines, was fatally shot by her estranged husband, Marcos Villaspir, at the Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Honolulu where she worked. The incident occurred on September 19, 2019, just one month after their divorce had been finalized.
