On April 23, 2024, human remains were discovered on a property in the Hawai'i Ocean View Estates subdivision. The victim was identified as 39-year-old Anthony Theodore Wagoner, whose last known address was in Duluth, Minnesota.
An autopsy performed on April 29 determined that Wagoner's death resulted from a single gunshot wound. Consequently, authorities reclassified the case as a murder investigation.
