On October 18, 2024, the remains of 56-year-old Wayne Richard Moriarty, also known as Arthur Hackett, were discovered on a property located on Tiki Lane in the Hawaii Ocean View Estates subdivision. Responding to a report of a deceased individual, Hawai‘i Island police arrived at the scene shortly after 1 p.m. and found Moriarty's body inside a residence.
