In the quiet town of Monroeville, Alabama, a dispute over a property line fence escalated into a tragic event that claimed the life of a lawman. On June 30, 1902, 52-year-old male, Sheriff John Harrington, was shot and killed as he tried to mediate a heated disagreement between a man and a woman.
