On March 12, 2007, Luis Eduardo Davila Salazar, aged 51, was shot and killed in the 1500 block of Olive Street, Northeast Washington, D.C., near Quarles Street. The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. Salazar's murder was a shocking event for the community, and despite efforts to investigate, the case remains unsolved.
