Robert Camden, a 35-year-old man from Camden, Alabama, was fatally shot on June 30, 1982, in what authorities later determined to be a targeted homicide. Camden’s body was found near the outskirts of the town, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Police were alerted to the crime after receiving a report of gunfire in a rural area, and they quickly responded to the scene.
