On February 15, 1992, in Irvington, Alabama, 46-year-old Gerald David Paravicini was fatally shot during a violent spree by 23-year-old Jason Oric Williams. Williams, who had been residing with the Paravicini family for approximately two weeks, returned to their home early that morning after consuming alcohol and drugs. Following a phone argument with his estranged wife, he retrieved a .22-caliber rifle and shot Gerald Paravicini multiple times, resulting in his death.
