On February 15, 1992, in Irvington, Alabama, 50-year-old Freddie Barber was among four individuals fatally shot by 23-year-old Jason Oric Williams during a violent spree. Williams, who had been residing with Gerald and Clair Paravicini, began his assault at their home, shooting Gerald Paravicini and injuring others. He then proceeded to the nearby residence of the Barber family.
