Demetrius Lamar 'Meat' Reigns, a 31-year-old male, was killed on September 4, 2008, in the Inglenook neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama. Known in his community as a dedicated coach for the McAdory Yellow Jackets' 5- and 6-year-old little league football team, his death marked the city's 59th homicide of that year.
